At The Local
Jan. 6th -- Epiphany
We are blessed today. The Wise Men met our Lord, gifting Him with gold, frankincense, and myrrhe.
This is also the traditional date assigned for the Wedding at Cana where people gathered together in joy. And on this day -
I am surroubded by music;
A meal of hard boiled eggs, sliced apple, and coffee;
No phone, so I am dedicated to personal focus, no outward, all inward;
Walked one block on the square and returned. It's about 80 steps, back and forth. My right foot hurts. Not unexpected.
The scale dropped two pounds this morning. I'm not dieting. Such a terrible word, but, I am being mindful of what and how much I eat.
I love that I am at The Local alone. There are no distractions.
Jan. 8th
I've noticed that, so far, winter in Tennessee is gray and gloomy. But it doesn't instill sadness. There is actually more a feeling of comfort. The sky is low, a blanket , a shroud, if you will, that wraps me in warmth and safety. Life has slowed down. People are not hurrying. Cars are slower and fewer.
I am at peace.

Feeling at peace is one of the best gifts of all.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have been blessed with it.
You are living your long desired life. Peace is a special grace. I am so happy it is yours now. SrD
