ReplyDeletecam be quite hard to do,
putting back upon the shelf
the stuff he put me through,
like music played too loud at night
and parking on my lawn,
then giving my poor dogs a fright
with a mailbox cherry bomb.
But then one day he got his mail,
and opened a letter,
turned white and then let out a wail,
and suddenly I knew him better,
for someone he had loved had died,
and I held him as he cried.
And there you are. Love your neighbor. I'm glad you were there for him.
