88 Day Challenge, Day 30/88

Our hard rains have passed and fanciful images of early fall joined me  on the back porch with my coffee. Layers of soaking wet leaves spoke to me.

Autumn is well and truly here. Yesterday's hard rain brought  trees to relinquish their first children, nurtured from early spring.  The stronger children age, grow golden, red, and brown finally dropping into crisp piles of elders creating a last table of nourishment for the kingpins that make up life in the backyard.

Prayer joined with my coffee, strengthening me for my day.  What next, I ask.

    1. We moved to SE Missouri in 2017. I ended up write a book about the experience. The cultural backlash of a lifetime in California to a southern atmosphere was staggering. "A California Girl Meets the Bootheel". Now we're talking about moving again, to Tennessee to be closer to our grandchildren who are in Central TN.
